Make mine the Imperial March

There's no denying that the Imperial March is popular. Many fans rank it at the top of their lists for favorite Star Wars or John Williams music. The version from the movie is perfect as is but because fans are fans, you can find the imposing tune being played by almost anything. Bagpipes to frogs to Tesla coils - they're all here. I dug through many a YouTube video, and these are my ten favorite interpretations:

By floppy disks:

Froggy version:

Barking dogs:

Marching band (the Buckingham Palace marching band):

iPhone ocarina:

Tesla coils:

I don't feel even a little bad if I've gotten the Imperial March stuck in your head.

  1. Hi! I'm a fairly new follower...gotta agree that the Imperial March is great :) I really wanted to walk down the aisle to it when I got married a year and a half ago, but my husband (also a big Star Wars fan) thought it would give people the wrong idea...haha

  2. My blogging partner, Hanny the Coffee Bean, and I are proud to present you with the Versatile Blogger Award over at our blog! Congratulations!

  3. These were awesome. I was imagining the Queen standing on a balcony above the Buckingham Palace band, looking out over (the remains of) her empire as low-flying star-destroyers pass overhead.

  4. @Tara - It is a foreboding tune, but I see where you're coming from. :)

@The Beans - Thanks for the award!

@Ash-Matic - That's what happens in my head too!
