Fantastic nerdy corsets by Castle Corsetry

You've heard the saying about how it's a small world. Well, that especially applies to nerd world. I'm constantly amazed by the amount of friends who already know each other because of some geeky connection. It's crazy. Along that line, I wrote an article about nerdy corsets for Pink Raygun about two years ago. I included a lovely Star Wars cincher in that list because I loved the design. It looked awesome. Fast forward to 2012, and the lady who designed that corset made my Lady Crusader costume for Comic-Con. Yeah, I know.
And guess what? The Castle Corsetry collection has only grown since then. Lauren's added more designs and patterns, and I drool over every damn one of them. If you like either Batman, Marvel, Star Wars, or Harry Potter - she's got you covered. A friend and I have just started talking to her about some corsets featuring fantasy maps, too!

Feast your eyes on these lovelies:

Besides looking all kinds of sexy, these corsets are built to last. If you've ever bought a corset from Frederick's or Charlotte Russe, etc, you know that you get what you pay for. Commercially available corsets are often flimsy; they have weak boning and construction and they don't stand a chance against the march of time. I've held these corsets and tried a couple on - to say they are sturdy is an understatement. Most of the designs have steel boning and as someone who's worn a costume by Castle Corsetry, I can tell you that they're sewn together with expertise. Basically, they're probably indestructible. Battles with evil wizards, demigods, and Sith lords might put their durability to the test, but I bet the corsets will withstand it all and come out on top.

In short, these are the nerdy corsets you're looking for. Move along.
