Stuff I wrote this week: Gargoyles, Star Wars, Wally West, and more

As I mentioned earlier this week, I'm writing for even more places now and I thought I'd share a few of my articles from around the interwebs this week:

Cancel Your Weekend Plans: Stream GARGOYLES on YouTube (Legally) on Nerdist - Yes, season one of Gargoyles is available on Netflix.

Five Ways to Use an Empty Bottle In Cosplay on Adafruit - Have empty bottles around your house? Then you have some parts you can use in costumes. I have five ideas to get you started.

Flash Knows Best on Blastoff Comics - January was family month at Blastoff Comics and I read Flash: Year One for the occasion. Spoilers: I adored it.

New STAR WARS Book Focuses on Darth Maul; Sam Witwer Reads Audio Excerpt on Nerdist - Darth Maul, audio excerpt, enough said.

Too Many T-Shirts? No Such Thing on TeeFury - Think you have a t-shirt problem?  You don't. I contributed a guest post to TeeFury with some ideas on repurposing your t-shirt collection.

Bedazzled Geeky Nail Art Is Seriously Impressive on Fashionably Geek - How do people do this to their nails? I'm amazed.

Get A Glimpse Of Tom Hiddleston Auditioning For The Role Of Thor on Nerd Approved - You're welcome.

Fully Operational Fandom: Every Celebration Needs an R2-D2 Cake on StarWars.com - My latest for the official StarWars.com blog is an interview with talented baker TK Peggy. She's made everything from an R2-D2 cake to a Rice Krispie Mos Eisley Cantina and has plenty of advice to help you get started on making Star Wars treats.

Since I have about 10-12 posts going live on various sites every weekday, I'm thinking about posting a daily round-up of links. I'll probably try it out starting Monday.

  1. 1) Every time I recommend Gargoyles to friends, they thank me.
    2) TeeFury has taken waaaay too much of my cash. When I feel broke though I just remind myself that I am helping some very talented artists.
    3) Tom Hiddleston didn't get the Thor role be cause he is Loki. I mean, he IS Loki.
    4) I have had 2 R2-D2 cakes for birthdays over the years. Keep 'em coming.

    1. You're right - seems like Hiddleston was born to play Loki!
